Best Total War Game for Mac?

Made the switch from PC to mac a little bit ago and I wanted to get back into TW! I understand Macs aren't really gaming computers, but I'm not trying to do any hardcore gaming, just do a couple hours of Total War after work, so no mac bashing please! Which Total War Game would run best on a 2012 Macbook Pro? Thanks!

Does anyone know what the best total war games are for Macs?

I’m just looking for a relatively recent one that can run with lower settings on a 2017 MacBook Pro

Basic Guide on how to configure your: interface, gameplay & graphics settings, ability bars and combat fundamentals.

INTRODUCTION

Hello There! Today i want to share with you a guide i’ve been making for the last couple months. The purpose of this guide is helping out new, returning and even veteran players navigate the user interface menu, the gameplay and graphics settings, along helping out new players configure their very own ability bars; wether they're in F2P or Member worlds and, help them undertand some of the fundamentals behind them, all that information who sometimes can get a little overwhelming due the sheer amount of it.
"This is the default" new player interface" (image credits: The RS Wiki)".
With that being said, this guide contains a couple of “Cheatsheets” along the way, carefully designed to contain as much information and visual examples as possible in order to enrich and make each section of this guide easier to understand. Now, without further ado, let’s get right into it.

USER INTERFACE

Undoubtedly, one of the most important things of any game; regardless of its genre, is the user interface, as this is where all your controls, buttons and vital information is found. As a new RuneScape player, you’re welcomed with a rather confusing interface where Everything seems to be all over the place (as seen on the image above) without clear indication of what it does.
The majority of the time, when you arrive as a fresh player, the first hour or so is spent on “figuring out” what everything does by trial and error and, by the end of it, you end up even more confused, and with plenty of time invested.
Now, if you take a look at the First Cheatsheet below, you’ll notice there’s a lot of windows and information scattered all over the place, but don’t be afraid as i’ll guide you through them in the next couple of paragraphs.
"This is a general overview of your user interface and its many windows".

To get things started, you’ll need to focus your attention to the “Main Chatbox window” (that adorable yellow window on the corner of the cheatsheet), here you’ll be Reading all the information displayed in game, be it a Goblin Examine text, your friends flexing their Chickens Killcount, an in-game annoucnement, a rare drop, a skill level up or a message telling you about how you burnt those shrimps (again). This is where all of the wordplay comes alive, but don’t fret about receiving lots of spam because you can filter those messages by clicking on the first button of this handy header bar; for more information about these icons, refer to the mini-cheatsheet below
"Here's the magic behind the Chat Message filters".
Returning to the Yellow Window, there you can also drag and drop your friend’s, group or clan chat windows, the cool thing about it is that you can configure it to your heart’s content and see what works best for your playstyle; wether if you want to have only your friends chat window, or if you prefer to talk to your clan, the choice is yours.

Moving on, we have the Green and Purple windows, where you can see your Main Action Bar (who might be minimized, so click on the top right yellow icon to maximize it) alongside your Auxiliary action bars (more on that later, I promise), to not delve too much into what these action bars do, they allow you to cast your combat abilities, use items directly from them (if they have an associated keybind) use prayers/ancient curses to help you in combat and even use teleports to different locations. Sounds amazing right? That’s why it’s recommended to have these windows on the center of your screen and in your line of sight.

The Blue window contains your inventory, which also contains your items; such as food, potions, Weapon Switches, Logs, Raw fish and all those burnt shrimps you made earlier (yum!), this window should also be within your line of sight in order to keep track of all the items you’re carrying.

The Red window is equally important as it serves as an expansion for both your inventory; if you’re using a "beast of burden" familiar, or your ability spellbooks; if you’re not using a familiar. As you make your way through the game, you’ll unlock a wide array of useful familiars (through the Summoning Skill) which can help you with your skilling (by offering invisible boosts), with combat (by offering Passive abilities and Powerful special attacks) and, some of them are sworn to carry your burdens (namely the Terrorbirds, War Tortoise, Pack Yak and Pack Mammoths, known as Beasts of Burden), the latter can help you bring extra food to your Bossing trips, or even help you stay longer at certain skilling spots, so you can stay there a bit longer without needing to visit your bank as often.
You can customize your familiar options by right clicking on the Summoning Medallion (That Blue Icon with a Wolf Head). When you’re not using a familiar, switch to the other tabs, as these will help you use abilities you couldn’t include in your main action bars. If you’re not doing any of the above, then drag and drop the Music tab here, that way you can enjoy some amazing tracks while you play (and i can’t stress this enough, give the RuneScape OST a try, is really, really, really worth a listen, after all it contains Sea Shanty 2, what else could you ask for!?).

The small Mint Green window is your ribbon bar, here you can unlock your interface (by clicking on the little lock icon) and this will let you re-arrange the interface windows to your liking, on the cheatsheet you can see a standard “Bottom right corner” style, which isn’t too terrible and a good foundation to change and improve progressively throughout your playthrough.

The Orange window contains your Skills levels, Prayers/Ancient curses (useful when you’re in combat) and your Drop log/RuneMetrics stats, which helps you keep track of your items or damage/XP. During cerain Minigames or Treasure trails, the interface also goes here, so it helps you out by keeping track of those interfaces in a comfortable spot.

The Light blue window just above the orange one is your equipment window, here you can see a mini-you version of your character alongside the items you have currently equipped.

Finally, the Golden window on the upper right corner displays the minimap, here you can see where you stand in the current area. And it helps you change skyboxes, filters, open the world hop interface (if you want to switch to a more active/quiet world) and Teleport to the various Lodestones you have unlocked. Once again, make sure you right click every single icon here, you’ll find plenty of useful and cool options to try out.

Now, leaving all these interface windows to the side, there’s a useful tool known as the “Developer console”, which can be accessed by pressing the Keys [Alt] + [¬] (the key on the left of the number 1 key and below the ESC key) or the keys [Option] + [< >] if you’re using a MAC computer.
The purpose of the Developer console is to display some performance information of your game, like the amount of FPS you’re getting, how much memory is the game consuming, how much of the Game Disk Cache has been downloaded; and if the game’s still downloading the cache files, and Finally, it shows your ping.
In order for the Developer console to display all that information, you’ll need to type one of the following commands, keep in mind these are typed without spaces or caps:
Command Action
commands Lists available commands.
help Lists available commands.
cls Clears the developer console screen.
displayfps Toggles the frames per second (FPS) counter and alll information above-mentioned.
displayfpsfull Toggles the same data of the previous command, but adds expandable graphs.
displayfpssmall Only toggles you FPS counter without any extra information
renderer Shows information about your graphic card renderer and its capabilities
getcamerapos Showls the location and the direction of the game camera; mostly used in bug reports.
deletejs5caches Deletes the ENTIRE game cache, you will need to redownload all of it once again if you delete it.
enablesnow Enables the snow particle effect in the developer console.
disablesnow Disables the snow effect.
If you type the command a second time, the information window will be hidden and, in order to close the developer console, just click the same combination of keys used to open it.

LAYOUT WINDOWS

All of those windows shown on the bottom half of the Cheatsheet above, represent a different interface that will appear in the game at some point; like your bank interface, dialogue windows, xp counters, achievements, level up progress icons, loot interface, and many more. The arrangement showcased in the cheatsheet is just an example aimed to make each of these windows easier to find.
You can resize some of these windows and re-locate them to an specific spot that suits your playstyle. Once you are done make sure to click [SAVE AND EXIT] and then on the [SAVE LAYOUT] option select the Custom interface of your choosing; called [MY CUSTOM 1/2/3/ETC], this way you can have multiple layouts for different activities.
In order to access the layout windows editor, you just need to click the ESC key and click on the [EDIT LAYOUT MODE] option, from there, click the [ADVANCED OPTIONS] button, and check the various windows you want to display, overall it’s just a matter of resizing and rearranging them to your heart’s content.

GRAPHICS SETTINGS

You may have seen a couple of amazing screenshots on the subreddit or the Steam community page, yes, those screenshots that are “wallpaper worthy” and take your breath away. In order to make your PC run in such a beautiful fashion, you will need to understand what each setting does and how it impacts the game performance; because as you’d might expect, higher graphics can take a heavy toll on your PC, and in some old laptops, they can even match your frying pan’s temperature (ideal for some shrimp cooking/burning).
By default, and once you run the game for the first time, it will run an “Auto Setup” to determine which option works best for your PC, however, you may still want to customize a couple of settings here and there, as some of these options may only provide minimal improvements at the expense of a smoother performance. On the following Cheatsheet, i’ll explain all of these options in detail alongside some visual examples.
The Current available screen resolutions are: [950 x 540], [1920 x 1080] and [2560 x 1440], the [Fullscreen mode] will use the entire area of the screen and, [Windowed] mode, will let you resize the game window to your liking.
"Here's where you can configure your graphics to look as good as they can, or optimize the performance of your PC by lowering them".
  • DRAW DISTANCE
One of the most impactful settings on the game is the [DRAW DISTANCE]; which can be helpful on some Bossing arenas (like Solak, Nex: Angel of Death, Raids, Araxxor, Elite Dungeons and The Wilderness; to see potential attackers on the horizon), paired with a camera set on [FREEDOM - CLASSIC] mode, will let you see your target’s a lot more clearly. Overall, i’d recommend something like Medium or High depending on your PC specs. But, If you have a bottlenecked PC or laptop, choose the lower setting.
  • Vsync
[Vsync] or Vertical Synchronization, will help you prevent screen tearing in your game by matching the frame rate of the game and your monitor refresh rate, for this feature keep in mind the following: if you set your game at 120 FPS but only have a 60 Hz monitor, you won’t be able to see any extra FPS, but, if you were to play on a 144Hz monitor, you will be able to see those 120 FPS. [Here's a quick video about this topic].
  • ANTIALIASING & ANTIALIASING MODE
On the other hand, [Antialiasing quality], will help you produce a smoother image quality, but, for the most part, this feature won’t be really noticeable unless you zoom your camera very close, and given how impactful this setting is, it’s adviced to turn it off if you’re having performance issues.
The [Antialiasing mode] included in the game are the high performance option [FXAA] which is slightly less taxing than the [MSAA] option; which consumes a bit more of resources, and the combination of [FXAA+MSAA] which makes certain objects in the game blurry.
  • LIGHTING DETAIL & BLOOM
The next couple of settings are [Lighting detail] and [Bloom], in the most essential sense of the word, these settings will only help you produce a more realistic image, by simulating accurate light bounces on a specific areas and objects and “Enhancing light sources" (like suns, moons, fires and lava), keep in mind tho, the latter can be pretty aggresive to the eyes, so use moderately.
  • ANISOTROPIC FILTERING
[Anisotropic Filtering], what this setting does is add a little more of detail to far away objects by making them sharper the higher this filter goes, for instance, if set to [OFF], far off textures will look slightly blurry, whereas in a high setting [16x] these far off textures will look sharper and nicer. In a similar fashion to Draw distance, if the game performance starts to dwindle down, it’s recommended to set this setting to OFF.
  • FOREGROUND AND BACKGROUND FPS
Your [Foreground FPS], will define the amount of FPS your game will output and, like mentioned in the [Vsync] setting paragraph, one must take the Monitor refresh rate (Hz) into consideration when setting the amount of FPS desired. Similarly, the [Background FPS] should be set to a low number, because this is the amount of FPS you game will run at when you’re not actively playing the game (or in other words, when the game is running in the background while you "AFK").
  • INTERFACE SCALING
The [Interface Scaling Setting] is mainly used for bigger monitors where your interface may look small, the higher this setting, the bigger your interface will be displayed at.
  • SHADOWS & SHADOWS QUALITY
The game [Shadows] setting is pretty self explanatory, as it will display the environment shadows of a particular area. Disabling this setting will make the game look “flat” and slightly similar to the Oldschool RuneScape graphics. it is also suggested to disable this setting if you’re experiencing performance issues.
The [Shadow Quality] on the other hand, will only work if you have enabled the in game shadows and this setting will help define their “sharpness”, with [ULTRA] being the better looking one, or [LOW] which makes them slightly “blurrier”. The shadows setting can be somewhat taxing to your PC or Laptop, so disable this setting if you’re experiencing a poor performance.
  • LOADING SCREENS
Depending on your personal preference, you can either enable the game [Loading Screens] or just disable them entirely.
  • TERRAIN BLENDING
[Terrain Blending] is, in simple terms, a setting that allows the different floor textures to “blend together” in order to make them more fluid, if this setting is turned OFF, Textures will automatically get disabled aswell.
  • SMOOTH CAMERA FADE
The [Smooth Camera Fade] is a setting only visible when certain objects get “cut” by your camera zoom; like walls, trees, rocks, buildings, etc.], the purpose of this setting is to “smoothen” the look of these cut objects, but other than that, it doesn’t really change anything important.
  • MOUSE OVER ENTITY HIGHLIGHTS
[Mouse over entity highlights] this setting consists of an “outline” that appears around anything “clickable” when hovering the cursor over it. Depending on the object (item/npc/players/etc.), it will appear as a different colour, e.g: for the majority of NPC’s, it will appear as a Yellow outline, for interactable objects like Fishing Spots, Trees, Archaeology Hotspots, etc, the outline colour will be Cyan, on the other hand attackable NPC’s will glow with a Red outline when clicked.
  • REMOVE ROOFS
[Remove roofs] is a setting that will remove the roofing and first floors from the buildings in the game, you can either set it to [ALL] to remove it from all buildings, or [SELECTIVELY] to remove them only after entering these buildings.
  • WATER DETAIL
[Water detail] in short, the [LOW] setting makes the water look like a flat surface, without reflections or depth and it gets progressively "realistic" by adding more reflectivity: [MEDIUIM] to [ULTRA], keep in mind this setting is also taxing, so adjust according to your preference.
  • AMBIENT OCCLUSION
[Ambient occlusion] simply put, this setting determines how much lighting should a space have depending on its features in order to make it more realistic. [SSAO] (Screen Space) is the least demanding, while [HBAO] (Horizon Based) has a higher performance hit. [OFF] would be the best option if you don’t mind losing this little feature in order to maximize the performance.
  • TEXTURES
[Textures] this setting only has two options available, with those being [OFF] and [Compressed], disabling textures in the game will make everything look like a mesh of polygons without depth or detail, therefore, this can also greatly improve the performance of your game.
  • VOLUMETRIC LIGHT
[Volumetric Light], this setting adds more realism to light emitting sources on certain skyboxes (like the suns or moons); similar to the Bloom setting, this feature depends, mostly, on personal preference and only if the brighter effects are desired.
  • GAME RENDERING SCALING
[Game rendering Scaling] the higher this setting goes, the higher the overall image quality will look, however, this can be somewhat taxing for your computer. On the other hand, a lower setting will make the overall image quality look blurred out, but will increase the performance. Therefore, it’s recommended to leave this setting at 100% and adjust based on your performance and preference.
  • CUSTOM CURSORS
[Custom Cursors] to keep it simple, these custom cursors are the iconic RuneScape icons displayed when hovering your mouse over literally anything in the game, like the attack icons, the food icons, the “use item” icon, among others.
  • GROUND DECORATION
[Ground decoration], the purpose of this setting is to add more elements to certain areas of the game to make it more “rich looking”, things like Grass, Pebbles, Flowers, etc, are added to the ground.
  • DEPTH OF FIELD
[Depth of field], this setting is often seen in photography, and what it does in RuneScape is blur far off objects in order to make them look less “Sharp” on the horizon and, provide a more pleasant effect. Keep in mind tho, this setting is only available if you have your draw distance setting on [ULTRA] or [HIGH].
  • TREE CANOPY FADE
In short terms [Tree canopy fade] will fade out any and all Tree canopies around the character, in order to prevent the canopies from obstructing the visibility of the character.
  • Futher information about the graphics settings
If you'd like to learn more about these settings, check out the following RS Wiki Link.

WEAPONS, ABILITIES & FUNDAMENTALS

Finally, now that your user interface is stablished and, you understand what each of the graphical settings does in your game, let's move on to the Combat abilities and their fundamentals.
Keep in mind though, the ability bars shown on the cheatsheet require some levelling up and questing in order to fully unlock their potential and, as a new player, you'll have access to their "lesser variants" but, as you level up, these lesser variants will be replaced by the actual abilities.
Anyways, i highly recommend one of your early goals in the game becomes unlocking as many combat abilities as you can by levelling up and doing your quests, as these ability bars will allow you to get into bossing later on.
Quest Lists Description
[Quests currently available] There are a total of 229 quests with 40 free and 189 members-only quests
[Quest skill requirements] Breakdown by skills
[Quest Completion Order] This is a guide including the best order to complete your quests according to your levels
[Quest series] Includes all series and plotlines
[Items & misc. rewards] Useful and convenient items
[Experience Rewards] Good to achieve those extra levels
[Quest walkthrough YT playlist] [Created by: ImSikovit]
There's a couple of abilities you can unlock naturally while levelling up (as shown on the cheatsheet) and some of these are exclusive to a certain combat style and weapons (namely Two-Handed and Dual Wield Weapons), some of these abilities are unlocked by doing quests, and some of these are bought at the Grand Exchange or from other players, but some may be more expensive than others, [so always do your research on the current market prices], ALWAYS, DO, YOUR, RESEARCH before buying or selling items, because some prices shown in the Grand Exchange or Trade Offer price window may not be 100% accurate, specially for new or low volume items.
"Getting to know your abilities, and your ability bars".
You may notice these bars are “Revolution bars”, but what is Revolution Mode? Well, in the most basic sense of the word, Revo will automatically trigger your combat abilities as soon as they become available, going from left to right, and after the Global Cooldown has lapsed.
However, there's 3 ways of using the Revolution combat mode, you can customize if you want Revo to activate your Basic, Threshold or Ultimate abilities in the combat settings menu (more on that later):
  1. The first one is used if you want to cast your Threshold abilities manually (making combat slightly more engaging), this means, Revolution will only activate your basic abilities (inside the yellow outline), any Threshold ability included inside this yellow outline won’t get activated as you will need to activate it yourself.
  2. The second one, is allowing Revolution to use Threshold and Basic Abilities, This method is preferred in order to let the game do its own thing while you just manage your HP Points, Prayer Points, Prayers or curses and manually activate your Ultimate Abilities.
  3. The final method is letting Revolution activate all kind of abilities automatically without any kind of manual input, however, sticking to this combat mode of Revolution can make it harder for you to progress further into “Full Manual” later on.
On that note, Revolution Mode exclusively for basics is quite good and a perfect middle ground as its learning curve should prove engaging and exciting, while also making room for improvement in the long run and transitioning into full manual.
With enough practice you'll reach a point where you may want to actively use all your basics abilities and jump naturally into full manual or, you could keep using revolution for basics whilst you activate some of the basics and threshold abilities yourself. Invariably, it really depends on your playstyle but keep this in mind:
“There is no correct way of playing RuneScape, there's just efficient methods, but even these keep changing and evolving over time, that's the true beauty of the game. It's an ever evolving game that you can play any way you want.”
[Alrighty then, with that being said, feel free to try out all of your abilities and build some ability bars, step by step, little by little].
On a similar topic, you have the Global Cooldown, which is divided in 3 sections (as shown in the Cheatsheet GCD Diagram), and the Ability Queueing.
With [ABILITY QUEUEING] enabled (in your Combat Settings), you can hit any Ability anywhere within the #1 and #2 Global Cooldown sectors; shown above, and it will fire once the GCD is done (you’ll know it’s done once all of your abilities “blink”).
If you were to cast your abilities once the GCD is at the beginning of Sector #3, and you had [ABILITY QUEUEING] enabled, your abilities will fire automatically without being queued.
Without [ABILITY QUEUEING], in order to fire your abilities you’ll need to cast them once the GCD timer is at the end of Sector #2 (or 2/3 of the way), as this will make your abilities fire once the GCD ends.

WEAPONS AREA OF EFFECT

Dual Wield Weapons are worn with both hands, Main Hand and Off-Hand, also, all shields and defenders are always worn in the Off-Hand Slot.

  • For melee the difference is quite simple:
2H swords help with AOE (Area of effect abilities) with Halberds being the absolute best 2h weapons to kill various mobs of monsters.
"Quick diagram about weapons area of effect damage and Bakriminel Bolts".

  • For ranged, the difference lies in the type of ammunition each weapon can use:
2H Bows & Longbows use arrows and some special bows (dubbed chargebows) generate their own ammunition, so you don't have to worry about it.
There's also "Shieldbows", who allow the usage of defensive abilities aswell as offensive abilities.
On the other hand, 2H Crossbows use bolts instead of arrows and this opens up a lot of cool bolts called Bakriminel bolts, which can be enchanted in order to activate some amazing and useful effects.
These bolts are what make 2H Crossbows a better pick than 2H Bows, as there's no special arrows for these Weapons; besides the "Blackstone Arrows", that applies a defense debuff to the target for 12 minutes or until it gets defeated.
On a similar note to DW Melee, Defenders (called reprisers for their ranged variant) help a lot with weapon switching, but also it benefits from a weapon called mechanized chinchompa, which makes each ability an AOE ability.

  • For the Magic weapons:
Mage follows the same rules but the 2H weapons are called Staves, on Mage's case, there's no big difference on the AOE damage abilities as both 2H and DW share the same ones (with a difference in certain thresholds abilities), and both weapons use the same spellbook abilities, so it boils down to each weapon effect and if you want to use a versatile playstyle by using a Wand + Defender (called rebounder in Mage's case), or a Shield. Sadly there's no chinchompas for magic but you there's a wide array of disruptive spells than can aid you in battle.
Each set of weapons enable the usage of specific Abilities and each weapon comes with their own subset of special effects, some weapons don't have them though.
For instance: 2H Swords are good for AOE Damage and when facing multiple foes at once, you can benefit from the Abilities: Hurricane, Quake and Meteor Strike to deal damage around you, but if you want to maximize the amount of targets you'll hit, you may want to use a Halberd Weapon.

GAMEPLAY SETTINGS

The Settings menu is divided into 5 different groups: [GAMEPLAY], [GRAPHICS], [CONTROLS], [AUDIO] and the [RIBBON]. On the following cheatsheets i'll showcase each option found on the [GAMEPLAY] tab and their function. Some of them will be images (as they're self explanatory and explain what they do) and others will be brief explanations on what each setting does, in order to make all these options easier to read and follow.
Under the [GAMEPLAY] Tab you'll find 8 Different subgroups (7 in the NXT client and 8 on the Steam Client), in the following table i'll explain in detail what each subgroup does:

"The various settings tabs".
Subgroup Description
Interfaces Fundamentally, this setting allows you to customize the look of your interface windows, filter which interfaces and warning screens should appear in game, how certain items will behave when using them (like keeping vials after decanting potions or emptying buckets when using the farming skill), you can choose which buff bar icons show up and if you want to display the Game Clock or not.
Combat & Action Bar Here you can change your combat modes (like Revolution and Full Manual, or the Legacy Combat Mode similar to the Old Fashioned combat mode), you can change your action bars visibility and ability queueing, alongside your action bar binding (which automatically changes your main action bar depending on the style of weapon you’re wielding), you can also change what kind of XP you get from combat, the way you attack other npc’s and your targeting settings along the colors your hitsplats (for aesthetic purposes).
Camera Another essential feature you will find here is the camera mode, here you can choose the camera zoom modes which are extremely beneficial when fighting large Monsters (so you can see them better) alongside the sensitivity of your camera.
Skills & Experience A lot of skills come with their own set of mechanics; from finding specicif parts of a mattock, to the amount of bosses you’ll be assigned for your reaper task and if they’re solo bosses or group bosses, all of these settings help you customize the way you interact with these skills.
Messages & Social On this setting you can customize what kind of messages you’ll receive on login, during your game sesión, from your friends, clan, private and groups chat. You can also customize the colors of each message, the broadcasts from your friends, clan chat, or anyone in the same world, and also, you can customize the events that will be tracked by your “Runemetrics” profile.
Item Drops This setting allows you to customize your Loot System interface (along various filtering options), you can also customize your lootbeams (pillars of light that let you know when you got an expensive item; defined manually, or a rare/unique drop), on the other hand, you can also customize if you want to receive Clue Scrolls or not, i’d highly recomment checking all of the checkboxes, as “Treasure Trails” are an amazing activity (and very profitable too) you can also enable lootbeams so you don’t miss out any of them.
Legacy This option lets you customize your interface colors, minimap icons, skillcape models, and combat mode, to make it reminiscent of the old version of the game (the one you may remember from 2011).
Third Party This is an exclusive option for the Steam Client, what it does is show the world you’re currently playing on (for instance World #2 or World #84) in your friend’s list status.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

RuneScape is a game built around “freedom”, and all of these interfaces, ability bars and settings reflect that, while there’s no absolute best configuration, keybinds or interface, it’s always a good practice to try everything out and learn through testing, in order to find out the best results for our needs.
Whether you’re a new player strolling around the Free to Play towns, or you just bought your membership and are stretching your legs around the member’s only locations, everything you learned from this guide will help you.
One of the commonly asked questions i’ve seen posted on the subreddit and the discussion forums are: how to make as much GP/Hr? What kind of gear to buy, and in which order? What kind of bosses to fight for a given set of Levels? and, while the answers are changing constantly (as prices shift all the time and the Metagame evolves), invariably it comes to the same conclusion, which is:
“What you can do and how consistently.“
On the following links you can find complimentary information like Gear & Bosses Progression and a plethora of useful links, tips & tricks:

However, before trying out these methods and finding out how consistently you can do them, one must start from the very basics of the game, understand how the game works and how to make it as reliable as possible whilst also looking as best as it can, and that’s the purpose of this guide, to teach you, the player, what every setting does, how does it impact your game experience and, showing you the fundamentals of the ability bars. The other half will come from your own experiences and how you expand on these foundations.
With that being said, Thank you for passing by, i wish you the best of luck and i hope you found this guide useful, see you all around and take care!

We Forgot About Trey

Trey Lance has been placed on the back burner of QB prospects. COVID ruined the 2020 NDSU season, preventing it from going more than one game. In that game Trey Lance was labeled as inaccurate, one read, and too raw to be a top pick in the NFL. Shit man, it was a bad game. No need to lie. But we completely removed his amazing 2019 from our minds and decided one game from our most recent memory would dictate any future conversation around him. We took 30 passing attempts after a non-existent offseason training program and decided “Welp, Lance is decidedly behind Fields and Wilson.” I resent that notion. After perusing some of his highlights I became intrigued by this mystery man. Small school, big arm, crazy athleticism, a bit raw, a bit of an accuracy issue. Reminds me of someone who recently had 50 total touchdowns and led a perennial loser to the AFC Championship game. Of course, that’s a weak and simplistic comparison that doesn’t really paint a picture as to what Lance can do and his status as an NFL prospect. I do think it shows that drafting for tools can be beneficial if you believe in your staff and GM. That’s something Lance has in spades. You want to talk about arm talent, mobility/athleticism, throwing power, and pocket presence and Lance needs to be mentioned as having top of the class ability in all these areas. I have combed through the tape and saw who I think we should take and 2nd overall (if we stay there). Obviously I'm a layman, this is for discussion. But I will be annoying over the next few months as I pound the table for Lance and I will be referencing this post pretty often. If you dont like Lance, let's talk, I'm not a stuck up asshole. I'll hear you out. Now, let's watch some videos.

I am high on Lance. Though it would be dishonest if we didn’t discuss the issues he has in his game. Despite the red flags, they weren’t something I saw as impossible to fix. His accuracy problems stem from a reliance on his arm, wonky mechanics, and sometimes trying to operate too quickly. Things that can be hidden by scheme or completely fixed with practice. He also had a tendency to throw from an off-angle or not be set when he makes a throw. Inexperience may have a lot to do with it. I only have a couple clips here to display what I’m talking about but this is really the crux of his issues and simply showing plays that look exactly the same for the same reason seems like a waste of time. I’m not saying these are his only bad plays. Absolutely not. But if you look at a Trey Lance lowlight reel, they’ll all look like this. I would bet on that.
Let's start with a missed a deep pass here vs UCA. The pressure is in his face but the guy is wide open. Hitting this would have been a TD. If we really want to be nitpicky, the WR could have adjusted to the ball in the air a bit better but Lance still needs to be more accurate. The ball can sail on him. It’s a problem every single strong arm QB has at times. One Lance has more often than I would like. Now, UCA was probably his worst game. All of these clips are from UCA and Montana State. Those were the games where I could find clear examples of his faults. This one is a simple screen that he misses because he rushes and doesn’t set his feet. Here is another example of him failing to hit a WR because he isn’t set despite being able to. The WR should have caught it but it also should have been a better throw. I think he rushed this and immediately decided to take the tough throw instead of running with the ball or looking elsewhere. I blame throws like this on the limited practice time and training camp. He hit these throws in 2019. A little too much is better than not enough, but still a wide open guy who should have a TD. Too much oomf. Goes back to the original issue I mentioned above. I’m including this highlight because someone would inevitably bring up his first INT in 300+ pass attempts and only one of his college career. I feel like a INT% of 0.3% is pretty damn good but what do I know. Anyway, it is an example of poor decision making but it’s not one you often see in his film. Let me reiterate this. Trey Lance does not make poor decisions. His arm also gets him into trouble sometimes. He relies on it too much here. Almost throws it like a pitcher. It’s caught but it’s not placed well. His deep ball issues are best illustrated here and here. He just misses a 60+ yard bomb in the first clip. A hair less and it's a spectacular TD. I mean just missed him. Then there’s the second one. Just a poor throw with too much oomf and not down the sideline enough. The WR had a step and a play could have been made but Lance made a bad throw. However, he followed these up with a perfect toss that is shown in the deep bombs section. I actually like this miss because I see this being a play that works. He’s just off. He’s not missing these guys by a country mile. They’re a little behind or just a bit to the wrong side. That’s why I think it’s simply him using too much arm and a coach working with him on using his lower body and hips will make him dangerous. This is where he displays poor accuracy, unfortunately, and why he has the reputation. These are still issues and they need to be fixed. Take a look at our final play in this section. He hurries, uses his arm exclusively, throws off balance, and delivers a poor ball into the ground. These are his accuracy problems. This is THE red flag about Lance. What I see is someone who needs some ironing out and coaching. I think LaFleur’s offense will be perfect for Lance to use his strengths and hide his weaknesses. The only other issue I often see is that he doesn’t have the volume. That’s fair as well. He quite literally has 318 passing attempts. That being said, he would likely have been closer to 600 if NDSU wasn’t forced to cancel the season and I disagree with the notion we should be holding the volume against him. Was Wilson considered a potential top QB before his 336 attempts this season? Not an apples to apples comparison, no. I’m just saying that using something outside the control of the player to evaluate them as a prospect is weak. It should be considered; like the supporting cast of Mac Jones, the opponents of Zach WIlson, or the significant coaching/player difference between the programs at Clemson and OSU compared to other prospects. What we should be focusing on is what they can control and Lance’s biggest issue is his accuracy, tendency to throw off balance when he doesn't have to, and mechanics. Now… lets have some fun.
ELITE ATHLETICISM AND RUNNING ABILITY
The most obvious of Lance’s strengths is his incredible athletic ability. On designed runs like this one and this one vs UCA he displays excellent vision, balance, and strength. No one will bring him down with just an arm. He’s slippery. Watch how he breaks 4 tackles on his way to a long rushing TD. I understand he’s not going against Alabama or Clemson or whoever but he’s breaking these tackles like nothing. His 6’4” 230 pound frame allows him to shrug off most hits. He’s speedy enough to escape the CB and strong enough to break a DT tackle attempt. Another example right here vs Butler. Hits the hole, breaks a tackle and zooms away. The speed he has is amazing too. On this play vs UND he’s outside before anyone notices, makes a hesitation move, has the pack catch up, and then puts on the jets for an extra 15+ yards. Here vs JMU he is able to break outside against a corner and outrun him for 10 yards despite the defender having the angle. Lance is also excellent at using his quickness to avoid pressure and he makes good decisions to run. He isn’t breaking down vs the pressure and running scared. He runs when it’s smart to run. On this play vs JMU he has eyes in the back of his head, senses the pressure and avoids the sack. He doesn’t just give up on the play. He still looks downfield before realizing it’s time to get the hell out. His speed allows him to get 10 yards on the play. From 2020 vs UCA doing the same thing. This is a great display of everything I’m talking about. Avoids the defender, breaks tackles, picks up speed and will not be denied. Finally, my favorite running play he had. This is a 3rd & 23. Why is it in here? Because Lance makes it a 45 yard TD run. He is capable of a big play at any time. Legs or arm. Which is exactly why you’re here. You wanna see some BOMBS!!!! Well, we’ll get there. Calm the fuck down spaz.
LET’S DISPEL ONCE AND FOR ALL THE FICTION THAT TREY LANCE DOESN’T READ THE FIELD. TREY LANCE READS THE FIELD.
Anyone who says Lance is a one read QB or can’t read the field is naive. Please note that word choice. There are moments where he gets “lost” or sticks on one read too long but I don’t think these matter all that much. It's something every single QB prospect will do at times. He doesn’t make poor decisions and can get out of the jam with his legs (see above). Let’s start here vs Butler. He looks at his first read, covered. Second read, covered. Third read, close enough. Fits the ball into a tight window for the TD. Here vs WIU he quickly comes off his first read because the safety up top was bearing down, throws a rope to his second option in stride for a long TD. You could hang laundry on that toss. Against UD he displays an ability to make a quick decision as he doesn’t wait for this primary read to come open, he moves on to the next one and makes a decision. More? Sure! This play vs WIU he doesn’t force something that’s not there. He sees the defense dropping back to cover the deep pass so he hits his safety blanket and takes the positive play. There’s a reason he only had 1 INT in his college career. Same game, just a bit later here. He scans the field and again sees that the entire defense appears to drop back while keeping a spy from the DL on Lance. He corks a nice toss on the run as soon as the man comes open. Speaking of a throw on the run, this play was excellent in slow motion, watch it at .25 or .5 speed. He escapes the pocket, keeps his eyes up, and then goes through the progressions to find the open man. Beautiful. Not enough? OK! This play vs ISU is another display of Lance’s quick decision making and ability to find the open man. This displays what I really love about him. No hesitation. Quick decisions. Gets the ball out and fast. He keeps his eyes downfield so damn well. Even when he evades pressure, he is looking upfield and trying to find an open WR. Another good example of this is on this play vs UND. He can freeze a defense with his legs and he has the presence of mind to make the right throw. This next one isn’t really in line with the rest of the section but I want to show how much strength he displays by breaking the tackle in the backfield, staying composed, and finding the open man for a TD.
He can also fit the ball into some tight windows. He has such an amazing arm that he can zip the ball past defenders and puts it exactly where he needs it to be. He isn’t doing this 100% of the time but he shows the ability. Here against UD he gets out of the pocket and makes a good read before putting the ball right on the receiver. Earlier in the game he makes this nice toss that should have been caught. Back shoulder and only in a spot where his guy can get it. On this throw vs JMU he does look stiff but it’s a nice display of the arm talent he has. He gets it just above the first defender and gets it to his guy in between the two others downfield. He hits this pass on the sideline with speed. It’s not a showcase of reading the field but he does put this ball on a rope to a perfect spot. The sideline creates a moment of opportunity that’s only a yard or two wide. Beautiful placement. For my final trick, I’ll leave this excellent toss with no additional comment. Italian style hand kiss for emphasis.
ARMS LIKE THIS CAUSED THE COLD WAR
These last two bits will be pure fun. These are his known strengths. This is where I think he separates himself from Wilson and Fields. Trey lance has a cannon. Now, Justin Fields has a cannon too. Like this bad Larry. Zach Wilson also has a cannon. Like this motherfucker. But Lance… Lance is otherworldly. When we’re talking about arm talent, what exactly do we mean? When I think of an amazing arm, I think of a guy who can just sling it with speed and accuracy from all angles and places on the field. Like this dime from 30 yards out on the run. An absolute laser. A very similar example is on this play vs WIU that was unfortunately called back due to penalty. Senses the pressure and delivers a howitzer on the run to the end zone from 25 yards out. I watched a lot of these in slow motion and it’s crazy how good they look at 1x. I was also impressed at this throw vs UD where he’s falling backwards and still lasers it to the back of the endzone to the correct side of the crossing receiver. With the hit the receiver absorbs, it’s fair to assume this is falling on the ground if it’s thrown to the other side. The ability to get that kind of strength on a throw like that is unique. Another back foot toss vs ISU in this video. I know it’s only a screen but the zip he can get on a pass like this when he’s moving away from the play is just something. It’s a joy to watch. The ability of his arm is best displayed on the run. Here vs UD we get the best of both his arm and his ability to fit it into tight windows. Against the sideline he gets it to the perfect spot with THUNDER. Lets stay on UD for a bit, shall we? Here he rifles it between a triangle of defenders in a perfect spot. I honestly cannot get over this kid’s arm and how powerful it is. I also picked up a sneak peak at another under the radar prospect in this game. Now, they’re probably some years away and could use some training but look at them get this ball and quickly rocket it to the sideline. Back to Trey. Our last two plays for this part are just wonderful. This one is pure arm. The fact he relies on it so much isn’t always a bad thing. He’s rolling out left and making this throw leaning backwards. Still able to get it to his man with velocity. Finally, the play that led me down this rabbit hole. The improv. The pocket presence. The eyes downfield. The reads. The beautiful deep ball to the open man. He’s a freak.
GO WAY FUCKIN LONG
Yeah, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. This is for shits and gigs now. We’re having fun in this section. Deep balls galore. If you don’t want to watch straight up porn, avoid these last plays. Let's start a little shorter with this beaut over the top against ISU. Corner of the end zone from the pocket with a beautiful arc. Yes, I timestamped this at one second. Yes, it’s a highlight video. But oh my God look at this wonderful toss into the receiver’s bread basket. From under center nonetheless! It came down at almost a 90 degree angle. Against ISU he puts this pass in the perfect spot on a guy who beat his man. Yeah, he misses these sometimes. But this is a beauty for a TD and something I believe he can do consistently. Plus look how easy he makes a 45 yard pass look. This incompletion was a beauty as well. He put it right on the guy’s hands on a perfect throw from the pocket. An NFL player will likely bring this in. A… Chris Godwin, maybe? Maybe an Allen Robinson? How about a Denzel Mims? Anywho… he probably could have placed this pass in a better spot. The pessimist would say it’s underthrown. The optimist would say that if he puts it too far inside and the ball ricochets off the defender’s helmet. Either way, it’s a 50 yard completion and the team has the ball at the 3 yard line. That’s a positive. I love watching him tool on UD. A solid highlight reel could be made from his tape in this game alone. Watch the angle on this deep ball. Another beautiful angle over the defender and hitting the WR in his hands. Once again, an NFL caliber WR would catch this in stride and take it to the house. That’s something to keep in mind when watching Wilson as well. These guys are accentuated by their competition but also held back by their team. Now for something completely different. This incompletion is so, so, so impressive. The ball never leaves the screen. Like, what!?!? This is Josh Allen and Patty Mahomes level arm strength. Think I’m exaggerating? Watch that clip again. He let’s it go from his own 27 and the ball is on a line to the opponents 15 fucking yard line. The damn camera struggles to catch up to the speed of the pass. No other prospect can do this, not even Lawrence. That’s a 65+ yard toss on a rope. Jesus. Anyway, wipe off and let’s move on. I wanted to include this play because it shows a big weakness in his tape combined with his biggest strength. He doesn’t come off his first read but his arm bails him out. If the WR can beat his man, Lance can make the throw. I tell you what, I could watch Trey Lance drop dimes over DBs all day, I don’t give a fuck about yer DBs. He makes 50 yard throws look easy. Any semblance of consistency in his game and he’s the best QB in this class, bar none. Yes, this guy is open. But the ease of which he makes this throw is why I’m excited for him. This is routine. Easy. Another easy toss? Sure, why not? It’s so smooth. He lets it go deep and you are almost certain the WR will be able to make a play. Ladies and gents, we have reached the conclusion of our dive into Trey Lance. For our final play, let’s watch him throw the ball from his own 25 to the opponents 23 for a touchdown.
So that’s all folks. I will be absolutely annoying the next three months pushing Lance down your throats. I will apologize now but never again. This man has it all. He is in the mold of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Just pure tools and raw talent. Lofty comparisons, sure. But ones I feel confident making. Decry his competition. Point out his faults as if they can’t be fixed and other prospects have zero red flags. I don’t care. I know what I’ve seen with my own two eyes. If Lance had the opportunity in 2020 to build off his 2019 season, we wouldn’t even be discussing who to take at 2nd overall. Not a fan of the tape, why not look at the box score stats and hype about his 65% completion percentage, 30 Pass TDs (9.4 TD%), 1 INT (0.3 INT%), 6 total fumbles (2 lost, remarkable given his 192 rush attempts), 8.1 Rush YPA, and 18 rushing TDs. Not mind blowing but very good numbers considering he only had 318 attempts through the air and 192 on the ground. We have 510 plays from Trey Lance and a majority of them are excellent.

2021 Joke Mock

Why? Cuz your team sucks and is gonna draft a bust, thats why.
1 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson - The Jags fans cheer as their long haired savior puts on the Jags cap. The single best generation prospect of the last decade is coming to their team. All that suffering is finally over, and the Jags are going to be contenders soon.
Fast forward 5 years - The Jags still haven't made the playoffs since 2017. Trevor Lawrence has done his best, but he can't carry the team by himself, and is spending more and more time on IR these days. Urban Meyer has had more heart problems, and left for Cleveland. A lone Jags fan sits in a pub in London, drinking sadly as he watches the Texans crush his hometown team. Unable to stand the sight any longer, he turns his head towards the calendar and thinks, “At least we’ll be contenders in 2027.”
2 - New York Jets - Trey Lance, QB, NDSU - Somewhere, Ken O Brien breathes a sigh of relief as he is no longer the biggest mistake the Jets have ever made at QB.
3 - Miami Dolphins - Mac Jones, QB, Alabama - The Dolphins decide to bring in Tua’s old backup in for competition, and pits them against each other in training camp to see who deserves the starter spot. Somehow, Fitzpatrick wins.
4 - Atlanta Falcons - Gregory Rousseau, EDGE, Miami - Outside of blowing huge leads and collapsing, the Falcons favorite thing to do is to draft uber athletic raw edges and watch them bust harder than Bostonians watching Super Bowl LI again. And the Falcons certainly don't learn from their mistakes. Rousseau is going to be even worse of a bust than the last two first round EDGE the falcons picked, always flashing promise but never putting it together to become good, a perfect metaphor for Georgia sports in general.
5 - Cincinnati Bengals - Zach Wilson, QB, BYU - Why wait for your QB to recover when you can just replace him? Burrow’s old news anyway. Zach Wilson is the hot new model who will carry the Bengals to the title! I mean, it gave me an A+ in the PFF draft grader, so this must be a great move. Let's hope Wilson doesnt get murdered this year too, or the Bengals might be looking at Rattler, Howell, or Slovis in 2022.
6 - Philadelphia Eagles - Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan - Howie Roseman knows that he needs to add a better WR to the Eagles, and with both Ja’Marr Chase and DeVonta Smith here, he really can't do wrong. But he can't help himself. When he sees a chance to add more power to the trenches, he starts to drool. The pressures, he thinks. All that pass rush. Pass rush for life, he declares, as he drafts another DE instead of something that would actually be helpful from day 1.
7 - Detroit Chase - Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU - I have good news and bad news here. The good news is that Chase immediately proves he’s the best WR since Megatron, The bad news is that the Lions still suck ass, and Chase retires in his prime too. Oh, and Matt Patricia ends up winning another SB somewhere else.
8 - Carolina Panthers - Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State - The Micah Parsons pick seems to work out great defensively. He becomes a leader immediately and leads to a resurgence on the defensive side of the ball. Unfortunately, the situation is not as rosy on offense. CMC is so sick and tired of Teddy B that he decides to carry the entire offense on his back, turning the second ever QB/RB/WOL since Marcus Mariota. McCaffery becomes the single most electric offensive player to ever exist for a total of 2 years before his entire body just breaks down completely and he joins the scrap heap, joining other Panthers greats whose bodies have let them down like Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly.
9 - Denver Broncos - Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State - Fields brings a lot of options to the Broncos. He’s got tremendous physical tools, can win with his legs, and most important of all, can rap without looking really goofy. Sure, he doesnt fit the mold of what John Elway loves in a QB, but the Broncos manage to fool Elway by making Fields play in high heels and a horse mask. If the Broncos could manage to win an SB with old noodle arm, HGH neck Peyton Manning, then I think they can work it out with horse mask, high heels Fields.
10 - Dallas Cowboys - Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon - Sick and tired of people crediting Aaron Rodgers for his successes, Mike McCarthy gets Jerry Jones to help him bring out a whole new innovative game plan. Instead of re-signing Dak Prescott, the Cowboys instead doubled down on the run game, with Sewell at the QB spot in order to provide some extra blocking for Zeke. It doesn't work very well, and the offense ends up playing worse than ever, but Jerry Jones is able to have some flashback to the 90s when the Cowboys were still a relevant team that could contend for titles.
11 - New York Giants - Tyler Shelvin, DT, LSU -
Meanwhile in the Giants war room:
“Sir, we are in a good position to improve our team. DeVonta Smith is here, as well as any of the top CBs. There’s a lot of good options here.”
“Hog Mollie”
“Sir, we could stand to improve our trenches, but the value is hardly here. We could seriously bolster our cornerback-”
“Hog Mollie”
“Please sir, can we at least trade b-”
“HOG MOLLIE”
The Giants have selected Tyler Shelvin with the 11th pick of the draft.
12 - San Francisco 49ers - Caleb Falery, CB, Virginia Tech - Seeing as the 49ers seem to be following the strategy of being title contenders, then tanking, and alternating every year, Caleb Farley is a perfect fit as a guy who’s going to absolutely lock down star WRs one year and live on IR the next. Maybe someone can teach him how to not get toasted by Lizard Kings while he’s sitting out for the year in 2022.
13 - LA Chargers - DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama - I’m so sorry DeVonta. I’m sorry Ive condemned you to a career of injuries and irrelevance in the eyes of the major markets. Smith ends up being a great player here, but it still wont help the Chargers be any more popular in LA. At least he’ll get love from the all-pro teams.
14 - Minnesota Vikings - Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama - Just your average annual Vikings first round CB. Nothing to see here folks. Just move along. Don't worry, Minnesota fans, yall can still blame Kirk Cousins when your swiss cheese interior line gives up so much pressure it makes the opposing defense look like a hydraulic press. Hey, at least Dalvin Cook wont end up like AP considering he has actually help in the offensive positions.
15 - New England Patriots - Zerrick Cooper, QB, Jacksonville State - A small school player who's more of an athlete than a polished product? Belichick probably couldn't run to the stage fast enough to draft this guy, well, if running to the stage was a thing this year. Its ok, Pats fans, just mentally swap this guy with whoever the hell yall pick in the 6th round, and it should be fine.
16 - Arizona Cardinals - Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina - A good pick from the Cardinals, but honestly, the Cardinals are probably the most irrelevant team in the league right now. At least the Chargers are known for having no fans. Kyler Murray could ball his heart out and no one would care outside of salty Texans fans still hugging their Hopkins jerseys and Josh Rosen. Not even Arizona cares about them. They’re all too busy being on the bubble Suns wave. Congrats on being a mediocre team stuck in purgatory, I guess. Maybe Kingsbury can find some meaningful wins against teams that don't reside in the single worst division in the league in that playbook of his.
17 - Oakland Raiders - Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia - Lets see here. Gruden loves his Gruden grinders, so that means the pick can't be someone who sat out this year, or someone who left in season to prepare for the draft, or someone who sat out a bowl game. And considering the Raiders don't care much for LBs, I guess that leaves Azeez Ojulari as the best player on the board? I sure hope he’s ready for Spidey 2 Y Banana jokes and routinely getting out classed by a huge rival. Then again, Ojulari did play for Georgia, so he’s definitely used to that second thing.
18 - Houston Texans (Via Miami) - Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama - Feeling bad for the Texans, Miami lets them have their pick for the low low price of Houston’s next 3 years of firsts, JJ Watt, and DeShaun Watson. But hey, at least the Texans manage to get their Will Fuller replacement. Let’s hope he doesn't end up being made of glass too. And that he's religious so Easterby doesnt trade him away for Todd Gurley and a second.
19 - Washington Football Team - Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech - Honestly, I cant believe a generic team made the playoffs. And honestly, Christian Darrisaw is a pretty generic name, something you could see in one of those auto-generated teams on the older Maddens. Plus, knowing how the NFCE usually plays out, WFT is going to be picking 1st overall next year, so you might as well protect your future investment. Too bad there’s no way to draft someone who can remove Dan Snyder as owner. Yes, I know it's disappointing that this isnt much of a joke, but WFT fans should be used to disappointment by now.
20 - Chicago Bears - Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida - Being too smart by half, Nagy will use Toney as a pass catching RB offensively, essentially replacing Patterson and Cohen. Plus, I can't see how they won't win the super bowl with that defense and a top 3 QB in franchise history. I mean, they have the NVP. Not even Mahomes or Watson can match that.
21 - Indianapolis Colts - Tommy Doctor, DT, Charlotte - Phillip Rivers needs someone to help with all the kids his wife keeps popping out, and who better than a Doctor to provide assistance with the births? Plus, he’ll help Andrew Luck find his love for football again, and help TY Hilton deal with his grandmother issues. Next time, on Tommy Doctor, Dr!
22 - Tennessee Titans - Najee Harris, RB, Alabama - Najee is very excited to join his predecessor Derrick Henry in Tennessee, until he is suddenly picked up and eaten by the King himself, in a gory image mirroring Saturn Eating His Kids. Henry becomes completely revitalized, and he gets even faster and stronger while becoming a competent pass catcher, thanks to absorbing Najee’s essence after digesting him. On the plus side, Najee Harris played almost as many games and was slightly more useful on the field than the Titans last first round pick was, so that's a win.
23 - New York Jets (Via SEA) - Ben Mason, FB, Michigan - Somewhere, Roger Vick breathes a sigh of relief as he is no longer the worst pick in Jets history. Meanwhile, all the remaining 5 Jets fans take a shot of bleach. As a silver lining, Mason ends up being the most productive player the Jets draft in this class.
24 - Pittsburgh - Kyle Trask, QB, Florida - Trask gives the Steelers the QB room that has the most punchable faces in the NFL, ripe for hitting with a Browns helmet. Additionally, he’s another QB that Big Ben ignores, pouts, and complains to the media over while Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson find ways to make themselves more unlikeable in general.
25 - Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR) - Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida - Following in the illustrious career of guys like Jalen Ramsey, Yannick Ngakoue, AJ Bouye, and Telvin Smith, Kyle Pitts is going to be a stud, then promptly force his way out of Jacksonville/London. What's the oveunder on when he demands a trade? 4 years? Hey, at least the Jags are saving on cap space by trading their good players right before they need to get paid.
26 - Cleveland Browns - Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa - Remember the last time the Browns went 10-6? They had just drafted a new stud OT in the first, signed a bunch of key FAs, and managed to get 5+ people onto the Pro Bowl/All Pro teams. Following their history, the Browns will then draft a small school LB with their first pick, then promptly go 4-12 and fall into another long period of failure as Cleveland fans wither away, the hope ripped from their souls once again.
27 - Baltimore Ravens - Pat Friermuth, TE, Penn State - The Ravens have 2 elite RBs on their roster. That's why they need to shore up their TE situation right now. You all laugh now, but just wait until they trot out their 2 RB, 1 FB, 8 TE package, making the defense completely confused on who’s blocking, who’s running, and who’s receiving. Truly the pinnacle of Greg Roman’s genius. And hey, they can even put in Lamar Jackson for any passing downs if they want.
28 - New Orleans Saints - Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoah, LB, Notre Dame - The Saints fully embrace positionless football after the retirement of Brees and the passing of the torch to Taysom Hill. Their next draft pick, JOK, doesnt just play LB, NCB, and S. He also slots in at QB, OT, P, and Gatorade bottle holder. Owusu-Koromoah even substitutes as head coach for a few games, just to show off how versatile the Saints are now. It doesnt work very well, but who cares? Just wait until you see Sean Payton line up at DT. He’ll be getting his own bounties now.
29 - Green Bay Packers - Luke Rodgers, probably QB?/Arod's bitch, Vanderbilt - There’s a really easy QB joke I'm not going to make here. However, the Packers realize that the best way to get elite performance out of Rodgers is from pure spite, judging from his MVP performance after they picked Jordan Love. Thus, they conspire to get the maximum amount of spite from Rodgers by picking his younger brother. Rodgers is so pissed off that he promptly says a few snarky comments on a podcast, puts up a record-setting MVP season, and then gets eliminated in the conference finals again.
30 - Buffalo Bills - Tedarrell Slaton, DT, Florida - At 6’5 358, Slaton brings the most power to the table, pun intended. Just think of how many tables he can break at once when he jumps through them. Plus, he’s basically the same weight as the average Buffalo man, so I'm sure they’ll embrace him with open arms immediately.
31 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue - I know Carlton Davis has been ragging on Michael Thomas a lot in recent years, but the truth is that Davis is simply jealous the Saints have their own “slant boi”. Seeing as the Buccaneers probably can't get MT onto their team, they instead grab their own “slant boi” to satisfy Davis’s wishes, and give Tom Brady, or whoever the hell’s under center next year, another player to ignore as Bruce Arians forces the QB to chuck it deep every play.
32 - Kansas City Chiefs - Yo’Heinz Tyler, WR, Ball State - Considering the fact that Patrick Mahomes is basically a god in Kansas City, drafting a random WR in order to ensure that the Chiefs get that sweet sweet Heinz endorsement for Mahomes is a small price to pay. As for the WR, well, I'm sure it can't be that hard for Andy Reid and Brett Veach to convince him he’s some kind of lizard king offspring in order to replace Sammy Watkins.

Beta 2.13 - Psilon artwork is complete! Plus other stuff, obviously

Beta version 2.13a is now available. Psilon artwork is done, more "Last Call" requests have been implemented, the galaxy map has received a much-procrastinated visual update, and a few bugs were fixed as well.
Download from here: https://rayfowler.itch.io/remnants-of-the-precursors
Still a lot more to come. I thought about delaying this release another week to avoid the release churn, but the known bugs eat at me.

Beta 2.11 - first pass at LAST CALL requests

Beta version 2.11 is now available. There are a few bug fixes but the vast majority of changes in this release were items requested by the community in the "LAST CALL" request made on Sunday. That post was easily the most commented post in the history of this subreddit and I have a backlog of work to do over the next several updates. The best part is almost all of the requests were completely reasonable and will work within the MOO1 design framework, so it's hard to say no to most of them. THANK YOU for all of the great suggestions, and "LAST CALL" is officially over!

Much much more to come. I just mostly wanted to get the bug fixes out.
